Phenominal software. Responsive developer.
Update:
This software and the developer continues to amaze.
I wrote an email to the developer requesting some information about getting the MSL (otherwise known as Curiosity) cruise phase displayed so I could follow its progress to Mars. Within 24 hours I was provided sufficient information to be able to display the cruise phase trajectory in Cosmographia. With just a little more research, I figured out the arrival time on Mars next August, and set the date and time for the entry period. Cosmographia accurately showed the MSL entering the atmosphere exactly on time. Being able to go for a ride and watch the process was very educational...especially seeing the full trajectory path.
My little 4-year old loves this program, and now knows all the planets and their locations. She enjoys traveling from planet to planet, and almost on a daily basis wants to look around our solar system.
I cant wait to see what new stuff will be arriving with new updates. Keep up the great work!!

I got this app because it looked sorta cool...I expected it would be a great 3D representation, but what I did not expect was the level of detail built in. I decided to take a visit to Saturn for my daughter so she could see the rings. We saw that...but what I noticed was a shadow cast on the cloud tops that was obviously from a moon. I presumed it was something captured for the planet texture, but when I sped up the timeline, I realized that the satellite moon shadows are dynamically produced, the ring shadows correctly move across the surface as the planet moves around the sun. The slightly transparent aspect of the rings are correctly shown, and Saturns shadow cast over the rings are dynamic.
The 3D view gives amazing perspectives, and the asteroid belt, when turned on with the 3D effect just blew me away.
Well done app! Simply amazing! I look forward to seeing all the other gems and details that are built in!
